Ms. Czajka, I think you’ll find that my portrayal of Kathy Putnam was extremely sympathetic. I knew her very well and liked her enormously. She and Mark both fully cooperated with me as I was researching “Above Suspicion,” for the sole reason that they wanted the story to be told accurately. Kathy was extremely forthcoming and utterly honest in long conversations with me over a lengthy period of time. even regarding personal matters that were painful to her. She loved the book. She was, as you know, an amazing person, and her death was one more tragedy in this tragic story. Joe Sharkey
