British tabloid newspapers, you know the ones that breathlessly publish reports with photos of the members of the royal family walking their husbands, have been running smirky teasers on what they gush is a “steamy” scene featuring Emilia Clarke and Jack Huston in “Above Suspicion.” Here’s the Daily Mail.
I guess that’s what “Closed Set” meant on the morning call-sheets.
I don’t know where they got the images and clips. Probably from the same place the pirates who linked to the Turkish-language print before it was yanked off the Internet machine in July.
Publicity like this is misleading (it is actually a beautifully directed and acted, dark and intelligent thriller deep in a dystopian setting) but invaluable.
So release the damn movie already!
